I just came across this video o RIR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqFVXIb2cq0
Axl seems to be struggling a lot with his Mickey voice . Then again he seems alright in later shows... He must have been really sick...
It seems to me, that he doesn't have much luck with the shows in Rio... Its a shame because of the amazing attendance

An now that you've been broken down
Got your head out of the clouds
You're back down on the ground
And you don't talk so loud
An you don't walk so proud
 Any more, and what for...

I quite like the show, if I am honest. Makes for nice background music to listen to when I'm at work. Slash is in effing top form.

Here are some interesting comments from fans on youtube:
 Kuba Jakub

If Axl will not have a looong rest he will soon lost his voice for ever.

Andreh Braga
I have the same impression.

The Trekkers EDGE

Crazy he had so many years being a recluse and now he needs a rest, lol. You're right tho.

Andreh Braga
But Kuba was right, just ask it for some speech therapist and he/she will answer the same.

Axl's always used his "drive" in the wrong way. That's the reason why he stoped at the early 2000'. 2006 he started to use his drive again and well... his voice was never the same.

Last year he was with a nice voice at the first shows of this tour. He's on tour for 2 years and did some ACDC gigs. If he continues to force his voice, probably he will lost it forever.

Eric
Your voice on AC/DC last year was great

The Saint
People have been saying this for almost 20 years now and he always come back after a while like nothing happened  , he is just exhausted after almost 2 years of hard work touring the whole world with GNR and AC DC.

Eric
The show at Rock in Rio was a crap. It was the same as Mickey Mouse

Interesting comments. I am with those people who say he's simply tired.

While I almost never read yt comments (too many idiots and not enough moderating/deleting), all I do know about voice/vocal training is: you have to keep up with it. (Seems like Axl didn't...)
