Fuckin' sick of hearing about it already. There's girls on Facebook whom I know have absolutely no interest in sports, and they are going fucking mental with posts like come on team GB. Fuck off, just fuck off. If it wasn't in England they wouldn't give a shit.

It's like that time we won a gold medal in curling, everyone (including the media) went ape-shit over us winning a medal in a sport they had probably never even heard of.

Just saw the opening ceremony.

I wish people would stop wheeling Ali out to such events, the man is in no fit state to be taking part. I don't no who is making these decisions for him but he better off at home.

I do too.

I know he probably say's he wants to do these things, but his nurse was having to hold him up and at
one point it looked like he was going to fall. There are a load of other ways he could have been involved.

Never watched it. Not sure about Bowie. I'm led to believe that Floyd never performed, but a song of theres was played over speakers at one point.

They just played their songs over the speakers. Mike Oldfield, Dizzee Rascal, Arctic Monkeys and Macca played live.

I heard it was quite good. I watched in the pub sloshed and couldn't make out what was actually going on.

The only bit I saw at home was the fucking country role call. It was like watching an episode of Pointless trying to name the most obscure country.

I will say the lighting of the torch was excellent and I'm glad they didn't cave and let Beckham do it like Sky News seemed to be suggesting :lol:
