Of course those women meant something to him( I'm talking here about Stepanie Seymour and the other one, not the girls he had for fun) because he is a human being like all of us and it's normal for people to have feelings and to get attached to each other. We are zoon politikon, as Aristotel once said but that's a whole another story...Axl wrote songs like Sweet Child O' Mine, Don't cry and November rain for women that he truly loved, because songs like these don't just come out like this, without a feeling. I can't tell anything about Axl because I don't know him personally but from everything I read about him, he really wanted a family but probably his health issues didn't allow that ( read about domestic violence and other weird stuff that he did to his ex gfs lol ). All in all, he's a kind of Grinch now...Music remains his only love and child.
