There will definitely be another batman movie, regardless of Bale or Nolan.

Ya, but he was talking in the context of Nolan doing another one. As far as I know, WB are already pitching ideas for the inevitable reboot.

Does seem to shoot down the idea of death but I am, at the very least, expecting some kind of finality.

It's not gonna be a "finality", I'm guessing it'll be something like TDK, but instead, Batman is hailed as a hero or something. That would also give TDKR some nice duality with TDK, which would be pretty cool

Apparently, it's a hard ending which necessitates a reboot. At least, those are the rumblings I've heard.

Nolan is adamant of ending the thing so this definetly will spell some sort of ending for Bale's Batman.

Granted, they were mostly studio executives so it could have been tears due to how terrible the film was (

Apparently, the screening went down well and apparently they gave it a standing ovation.

rumor is that Bruce Wayne retires and JGL's character becomes the new Batman. According to IMDB David S. Goyer, who helped Chris Nolan and his brother John write this trilogy, is writing a "reboot" for 2015. I'm assuming that reboot in this case really means sequel-boot or spin-off. An exec from WB also says the board wants to make a Justice League movie somewhere down the line but I think that'll be shit if Ryan Renolds has any part in it.

Oh and as far as this "confirmation" that Bruce Wayne won't die, Michael Caine said last year that he'd consider doing a 4th film too which means Alfred will live also. I have a feeling Gordon will die tho cuz Gary Oldman said even tho their might be a "Batman 4 and 5 with Chris Nolan stepping down to production" he says he won't have a part in that.

oh, and I know I said I was done with this place but I figured since Izzy jammed with the band recently I guess they aren't as big of panzees as I thought, at least not right now.

You can see it heading towards the silliness of Joel Sch...shoemaker's films already with ~~Batgirl~~ Catwoman in it and and the bat VTOL thing....the Nolan movies dont really do anything new IMO its bits of the older films rehashed oh wait Batman has a fucking dumb voice now too.

The Burton Batman films are better than the Nolan films. The Nolan films are full of bad hammy acting and plodding boring-ness.

One can only hope if and when they do a reboot that Troma will do them

Maybe its all the hype, but I just dont find the Nolan Batman movies all that amazing...probably doesnt help that I find Christian Bale a bit meh in general

I once read that when Lucas was young his vision for the prequels was very different. the clone wars were originally supposed to depict Jedi battling insane clone versions of themselves and upon killing his own clone Luke's father goes insane and literally replaces his evil self on the dark side. that to me sounds alot cooler and more original then him turning to the dark side just because he had bad dreams.

On topic, Keaton was a much better Batman then Bale. I don't hate the Nolan films and if this franchise really does continue in some form then fine but I sure more wish that WB had just kept Burton and Keaton on board back in the 90's so that Batman Forever would've been kick-ass. Also, that way we would've never gotten Batman & Robin so there wouldn't have been a need for the Nolan films.

I didnt/dont mind Batman and Robin, its not meant to be Shakespeare or whatever...

I'm sorry did you actually just say that? While saying Nolan's aren't all that great?

I can see people preferring Burton's movies. Personally I can't choose between Nolan's or Burton's work. I love both their visions for different reasons and they are true to the origins of the character in their own way, but I love them both. As for Bale's acting, yeah I do understand the comments about the "Bat-voice", it can be a little ridiculous if I am honest but I don't feel that it detracts significantly from the solid scripts and great storytelling of the films. If truth be told I feel that Nolan has fucking nailed these films and there really isn't another director to my mind who could have done the franchise any more justice.

A Justice League movie not being ridiculous and sucking would be an almost impossible task. I prefer DC to Marvel and always have but Green Lantern? Aquaman? These are just terrible, terrible characters. I am looking forward to seeing what happens with Man of Steel next year but A Justice League movie would be a terrible idea and would instantly draw comparison to The Avengers movie and I don't think many sane minded people out there would honestly believe that a Justice League movie could do a better job than the Avengers did as it would follow a very similar narrative only with a weaker cast.

You're right, and I did a little more research on the subject and thankfully Nolan said that even if people do like The Avengers, he feels it best to keep the DC superheroes apart from each other. Hopefully WB will take his advice. With that being said, there will still be a Batman re-reboot, a sequel to The Man Of Steel and a sequel to Green Lantern.
