Rock 'N' Roll and Small Towns
« on: May 17, 2012, 08:45:15 PM »
Rock 'N' Roll music was first heard on local radio stations in small towns across the U.S.A. Residents first heard of GNR and bought their records at the local record stores.  Some parents were strict about which music their kids should listen too in those days.  I myself, grew up in Lanford, IL, there is not alot to do there, so kids use music, help them get through their teens.

Lanford is in some ways similar to Lafayette, IN. It's like being in an insular community.
