It´s nothing breathtakingly amazing or anything, pretty average album. I like some songs of it. I don´t know...maybe it just needs few more listens.

I don't like how the drums are mixed. They sound shallow, like a cheap set a new drummer gets and plays in his garage.

It lack  the "epic" song.. i mean sure anastasia was good, but it just didnt have the epic song. or songs for that matter.. i wish slash would try something new other than just the straight blues rock all the time.. thats why the illusion albums were so good.. appetite was extremely epic, but after you write a 1000 appetites, it gets old.. were is his variety..

Got the album(fan pack) early!!

The album is pretty good,i think the songs get better after 'you're a lie'.
people mentioning that the solo's are short...i dont really agree with that at all.
myles vocals are good but there are parts where i just dont understand what the fuck he's sayin.

overall id give it a 8.5/10

best songs- you're a lie, no more heros,halo,we will roam and anastasia
worst songs- Apocalyptic love and carolina

He should give Scott Weiland a phone and reform VR. The stuff I have heard has been ok, but nothing special. I certainly won't be buying it, anyway. Which is a shame. At one time in my life I would have loved this.

I've now listened to it a few times with the included bonus tracks and I think it is very good. Some songs took time to grow on me...and some will take a while longer but I do think it is a strong album. :notbad:

Anastasia, No More Heroes, Halo, We Will Roam, Crazy Life and Carolina are all alright but the rest is very meh. Am I the only one reminded of Megadeth's 'Crush 'em' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkJEvpwDBXY ) when listening to Shots Fired?

As much as I love Slash I have to agree with this, even "Anastasia" is not "that" great.  :(
