Axl being booed at the Hall of Fame and the media writing negative things about Axl for not attending the Hall of Fame is not what you call incredible public support in my opinion. :argh

Axl Rose's letter seems more gentlemen like compared to what the Sex Pistols did when they were invited to be inducted to the the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.  Johnny Rotten, the lead singer of the Sex Pistols called the Hall of Fame "a piss stain" and said that he and the band are not going to the Hall of Fame.  Here is Johnny Rotten's full letter to the Hall of Fame:

"Next to the SEX-PISTOLS rock and roll and that hall of fame is a piss stain. Your museum. Urine in wine. Were not coming. Were not your monkey and so what? Fame at $25,000 if we paid for a table, or $15000 to squeak up in the gallery, goes to a non-profit organisation selling us a load of old famous. Congradulations. If you voted for us, hope you noted your reasons. Your anonymous as judges, but your still music industry people. Were not coming. Your not paying attention. Outside the shit-stem is a real SEX PISTOL"

i'm still a huge fan of what he created with the old band. just done with anything supporting Axl + new band financially (directly). the way he handled the HOF situation and now is trying to save face is something i highly disagree and i'm very fine with responding on boards.
