Myles can sing, but while he technically reaches the notes perfectly, he has 0,0 soul, credibility and character in his voice, when he does GNR songs. Seeing him live with Slash 3 times, he did the solo, VR and snakepit stuff decent, but the GNR songs just made me cringed and feel embarassed in his place.

I agree with Fan & RDS that it was a bit too much of a coincidence having Myles and Gilby there to step in.

It's been a long time since we've got so much plain hating here. What the hell changed since before the HOF? Nothing. Just  a performance of 60% of the old band, honouring the past while another very important 40% did not want to be there.

Three times? Where was that? All the festivals? Belgium, Germany? I've only been to Paradiso two years ago. As for the GN'R songs I didn't cringe because I couldn't since my daughter was too happy to hear her "lullaby guitar" at last live after so many years. But I would like they'd skip them now. Not only Slash but also Axl's band. But fans of both loves the old songs and expect or demand these songs. Accept it.

It has been said so many times before the AFD line-up was honoured. It would have been ridiculous if Axl's new band had been honoured. Such a pity none of these bandmembers are able to give their opinion for whatever reason.

Whenever I want to relive the glory of 1988 I just visit youtube or listen to bootlegs. No problems. I am not a nostalgia junkie --  bring on Europe 2012!

Exactly. But I cherish I witnessed an iconic performance in 1987 not many fans have been able to see. Imagine GN'R in a venue filled with only half the capacity. And I being there and didn't even knew whom they were? That's not nostalgia that's being thankful to the guy who'd convince with determination to come along.

In general; I realise there's nothing to talk about now so stop talking about old shit yourselves then. The HOF is done and over. Slash and Myles go on tour with new material and GN'R with your favourite songs. Have fun this summer, have fun and party and rock while it lasts.

Obtaining first-hand accounts from legendary shows from GN'R history is VERY MUCH appreciated by anyone interested in classic guns.

They should had Fergie play with the band in the Hall of Fame.  I know Fergie did a good cover for "Paradise City" and "Sweet Child O Mine."

Fergie recently talked with Rolling Stone about her upcoming solo tour.

Fergie: "My vocal idol is Axl Rose"

Yeah 3 times: Pinkpop 2010, Graspop 2010 and Sonisphere Madrid 2011. I liked the performance. And I wanted Slash to play a couple of GNR tunes. I just don't like Myles singing them. I enjoyed hearing VR play a bunch of GNR songs more when I saw them live. Or both Snakepit singers could do it pretty well too, I guess.

I couldn't agree more.

GN'R songs (especially AFD) are just not made for this guy. His overall "goody-two-shoes" vibe just doesn't feel right combined with songs like "Nightrain" or "Rocket Queen".

Seeing and hearing him on the stage singing "I got a Molotov cocktail / With a match to go / I smoke my cigarette with style" usually makes me go :fpalm:
GOOD.... F**KIN\\\'....NIGHT...!!!!!
