Myles is a much better singer than the nowadays Axl  :fuckyeah:

Alright, alright...Axl didn't go, what a shame. But please don't just let this circumstances make you write things like that!
Axl may suck at times lately, he may have some awesome nights too...whatever. But you just can't say or even assume that Myles is a better singer just because he can reach the notes. Farts can also reach notes depending on what you eat.
Man I just can't imagine in which concept you have Axl's singing, or singing at all, to even imply that.
I might be a little young but honey I ain't naive.

My ass is usually called Myles Kennedy because he can deliver Mr. Brownstone so perfectly and so naturally. My ass is the best singer of modern rock.

no, keep in mind he was inducted for the past (AFD/UYI), that was what this one HOF night was about. and he decided NOT to respect that at all, he decided against a proper professional farewell of that important era. and thats what he rightfully is getting blamed for worldwide.

they could have set up it all some fair in advance (like openly agreeing on 1-night-off in press releases, interviews, induction speeches etc.) but he simply didnt want it to happen.

Not attending = not respecting? That's an interpretation, not a fact, and it's not an interpretation I share. I'm quite convinced it's just the reunion Axl doesn't want. I think he very well respects the past (he plays the songs from that era more than anyone else does) and I don't think anyone should be forced into a certain method or procedure of honouring the past. He can show his respect in any way he wants to.

And are you sure they could've all arranged it as a one time event? How do you know the others would agree to that? As I see it now, for Steven a reunion will never be off the table, and maybe he'll never give in to a contract that contains a one time show.
If an album comes out, then buy it. If there's a concert you can go to, then go to it. You're not owed another record. You're not owed any inside stories. You're not owed the band to be managed by people you approve. It's just electronically recorded vibrations that you happen to like.

Never really liked Myles singing. Everyone says its very 'raw', for me he always comes off as bland.

Axl doesn't sing half as well as Myles does now-a-days, but he puts 10x more passion into it then him

ahh, a new Axl quote making it's rounds: "damned if i'd do, damned if i don't"
but this was never the case for this HOF cerenomy because he has been inducted with the old GN'R monster and for what they've been created! the first part of the quote did never match it, thats just what he created trying to save some face after he decided not to go.

by avoiding the cerenomy he harmed his name (and the new Roses) more than he actually would have by goin in some professional and grown up!
damned if he does - well, people would want him to perform with the old guys. If he did that people would want him to tour with them. There you go, now you understand the quote.
How cute is to see ya guys blaming someone because he doesnt want to perform with people that badmouthed him for the past 20 years, and all of sudden they want to play with him. Hypocrites. Media whores. Im happy that Axl did not want to attend that media based bullshit called HOF induction ceremony. Too many people trying to gain money and news worldwide by forcing them to perform. Im glad Axl isnt like that. He's got the reasons to avoid the whole thing and you should respect that. It was all about the band, not about you. People would force him to tour with the old band, or at least they would try. He does not want that. Im glad he does these things his way. Like Ron said... Power to him! Stand by what you believe in, Axl. Fuck those people that think you should perform for them.

Im happy for Steven. He got to perform with his old buds and be acknowledged for his contributions. And as much as Axl hates it, fans care more about the Appetite line-up then any other.

Myles' singing is good, not great.  There is no depth or soul behind it, just my opinion.  Of course he doesn't have the connection to those songs that Axl or the other band members who wrote them have.  But if I had the option of paying to see this version of the band and the current line-up of GNR, I would pay to see the current line-up.  Axl embodies GNR and its essence and nobody can make those songs sound quite as good as he can (even if he has off-nights and songs with his voice).  Slash, Duff, Steven and Matt embody that same essence, but without Axl there, it loses its magic.  I don't get that from watching the current line-up when they perform older and newer songs from the catalog.  I'm just one person, though and everyone is entitled to their opinion (mostly)

I gotta agree with the above in that Myles singing does at times seem bland and souless and nothing compared to Axl's high energy voice..

But.. how many Axl Rose type voices do we have out there?

He does come across as a hell of a guy though. I've seen him and Slash live and he seems to really like doing what he does. No diva bullshit at all which was a breath of fresh air.

It's almost 2 years ago I saw Myles with Slash and became an instant fan. Also of Alter Bridge. How much I love Slash and have my tickets yet for their next concert I like Myles a bit more with Alter Bridge. I really like it how the love for Myles has grown over these two years. Yesssss!!

Myles was potentially chosen to sing for Zeppelin, and so as much as I am not a fan of his voice, that gives him instant credibility in my book. As much as GnR may be good, Zeppelin are fucking great.

I don't think Axl hates that.

I'm happy for Steven too. And for others of course. I hope they enjoyed the night because nobody tried to take that away from them.
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think
