this is the nearest we'll get to Guns n' Roses! great performance, great way to honor the past. Now it's time to focus on the present and the future because there is really great music upcomin' from all of them "

This is how thas kind of web works, just some Axl's dick sucker bannin people if they show any kind of negative thoughts about what Axl does  :fpalm:

Steven looked so happy out there and Slash totally dominated Sweet Child. Great stuff

The Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame is nothing but a back-slap event just like the academy awards. Congrats to Axl Rose for saying FU to them.

Slash is a sellout and just wants to make money any way he can.

So Myles > Axl .  R U KIDDING ME.  OMG you guys are retarded.  If you believe that I Doubt you ever really were a GnR fan to begin with.  I give him credit for preforming, and allowing the rest on old GnR to enjoy the night.  But GnR w/o Axl, is no where close to GnR with Axl minus the others.  As to the Bargain Bin Status of CD, LOL.  Do you listen to music because its top 40, or do you listen to the actual music.  CD is amazing.  No, its not AFD, but nothing ever will be, nor does it try to be.  The truth is I like a lot of Slash's solo projects, and some of VR shit for that matter, but to say Axl is nothing w/o the original line up is pure ignorance.

Isn't it interesting how people who diss Axl for not attending all of a sudden adore Myles' voice ?

Interesting perception but subjected to wrong criteria, in my opinion. Some are actually so butthurt they want to turn this into Axl vs. Myles.  :smirk:

I don't understand why Myles was even there. According to the guys they weren't going to play so why would he be there? It would be the same as Axl bringing DJ or one of the other guys.

No I am not kidding you. No doubt Axl as a superstar is incomparable with Myles, and GNR without Axl is never a true GNR as GNR without Slash is never a true GNR also. But Axl new vocals sucks and being a "fan" or not wont change that. Myles does not have a beautiful voice but at least he met the technical requirements. But Axl new voice lacks both beauty and technicality. I always prefer Axl to Myles because the former is a charismatic superstar and back in 80 and 90 he was a great vocalist too (Axl (as a whole) vs Myles is a joke). I only compare the current status of his vocals which sucks.

About the bargain bin status, no i dont listen to any music because it's charts ranking. But we talk about one of the greatest rock bands in human history. Reaching that status is a disgrace for the band and Axl is responsible for that.

This video is four months old. With a proper mix for a change. Let me see Myles do anything close to that.

Very similar situation to people's reaction to Izzy's decision on one side and Axl's on the other.

I don't think he should have been there. If Axl had shown up but refused to sing, would they have performed with Myles while Axl sat and watched?

Of course we will never no the answer to this but it seems strange that Myles was on hand to step in.

That would be awesome to know. ''Damned if I do, damned if I don't'' scenario seems more and more possible.

You raised a valid question, why the fuck was he even there?

Someone mentioned Slash wanted to promote his solo effort. I wouldn't say that was a primary reason, although I wouldn't exclude it either.

What about this... I believe Axl initially wanted to attend the ceremony while a performance was out of the question. The others knew that and they went on and on in the press how they would love to perform. I don't blame them, but because of that the pressure was on Axl.

If Axl attended the ceremony the others would probably decide to play (even though they've been very ''I don't know shit'' about it). Now Axl would be pushed into a corner because Slash would have Myles with him, ready to jump in. If Axl declined he would come off as the biggest idiot or he would have to go up there and perform which is something he really doesn't want to do. And who would push him into this situation? The same people (person?) he wanted to avoid the most.

I cannot tell if that was the plan but Slash having Myles there wasn't a coincidence in my opinion. I also don't think this is factual information, just another outlook upon things where I actually took into consideration certain information instead of just blaming Axl.

I think that's the only thing we can be sure about. If Axl did attend but decided not to play, as he made clear, he'd recieve the same crap that he's recieving now. If he did decide to play (even though he didn't want to) and didn't seem all to happy about it, he'd (probably) recieve the same crap because he wasn't enjoying himself. ''Damned if I do, damned if I don't''.

The question remains, would Slash bring Myles even if Axl attended, knowing exactly well in what kind of position that would put Axl?

I'm not a Slash hater. Loved him in GN'R more than any other member. I own a Snakepit record, both VR albums and his solo effort but my anwser to that question would be YES. A well thought out plan, but Axl intercepted the ball. I could be wrong.

^Maybe so, fan, that would be another good reason for Axl to hold back.

But anyway, for me Myles saved the induction from being a total public faillure. The performance was more than decent to me; it really looks like it was a terrific show  .
