Fun part was Anthony Kiedis' former 'father in law' Donovan was also inducted. And Chris Rock was priceless with his Axl jokes....sorry Axl fans but I laughed loud wonder if Axl gotta sue him or them all....

I can't argue with this point. Reading back over that last post of mine, it came across as more negative than I meant it to. I was trying to tie in the fact that he is promoting his music as a business with the fact that he is obviously more motivated by money now that he has a family, as any decent person would be.

Pawn, we tend to think sometimes about rock music as art or as 'it's only rock n' roll' etc blabla but in the end it's also just a job. How hard an artist may try or pretends to be something else: it's a product you have to sell. Duff had a damned good reason to study. And if he did advice Slash he did it right.

As an old fan I felt proud especially because of Slash and Duff. Ex-wild guys and still rockin' and being good fathers at the same time.

Why was Myles even there?

Because they needed someone to sing?

NO! Because an asshole refused to sing for them!

Yes, I know that of course. But I'd prefer to keep it friendly and stylish. Fights enough the last days right?  ;)
The boo's from the audience and Chris Rock about Axl were enough methinks  ;)

Oh, but I am a fan of Myles Kennedy with thanks to Slash. Also Alter Bridge. Myles Kennedy works his ass off and as a woman I have a sort of crush on Myles  :love2: Man, he looks so hot live ....

I was there and I was very surprised that they decided to play together, I really thought that they weren't going to perform, but they did anyway, which was really cool because I don't ever recall a moment where the combination of Slash, Duff and Steven were all playing together on stage since 1990. But yeah, they played Mr. Browstone with Matt, and Sweet Child and Paradise City with Steven. Myles sang the songs which went very well, and Steven gave an acceptance speech   :giggle:

Steven didn't too bad at all until my surprise although I only had the live stream I understood it all very well. Duff was great as the first to speak and so was Slash. But Matt did ramble on too long....

I salute them they did so well with Myles!

yes but still, I thought it was ironic that the other drummer ended up rambling on and Steven didn't, but I kinda wanted Steven to ramble on a bit.

this is the nearest we'll get to Guns n' Roses! great performance, great way to honor the past. Now it's time to focus on the present and the future because there is really great music upcomin' from all of them

Myles perform better that new Axl live! Listening to true GNR is a pleasure!

Ears haven't been treated to such a "pleasure" since the ancient Egyptians stopped performing lobotomies through them; Myles sounds like a eunuch trapped in a helium factory...

-PEACE-

P.s. the other guys sounded great(ish)....
