There's now one less mystery surrounding Guns N' Roses' entrance into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: Green Day will deliver their induction speech. While Slash, Duff McKagan, Steven Adler and Matt Sorum have all indicated they'll be present at the April 14th ceremony in Cleveland, members Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin and Dizzy Reed have yet to publicly confirm their attendance. If Rose doesn't show, it's unlikely that the group will perform – and it's unclear whether or not Green Day will play in their place.

Indeed.

Couldnt they get a real punk band, like Blink182 or Good Charlotte to do it?

Agreed ! And it's great to see Green Day still aknowledging GNR.
If an album comes out, then buy it. If there's a concert you can go to, then go to it. You're not owed another record. You're not owed any inside stories. You're not owed the band to be managed by people you approve. It's just electronically recorded vibrations that you happen to like.

Liam would be a much better choice. Especially because Gallagher brothers have always been fans of Guns N' Roses and Liam even dedicated the song Rock 'N' Roll Star to Axl Rose in Rio 2001. Not saying that is the reason he should induct them but still a way better choice than Green  :puke: Day.

They should be inducted by one of the bands that helped them get big or they have a history together like The Cult, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Hanoi Rocks or Michael Monroe. Even Don Henley could do it, Iggy Pop, Brian May or Sebastian Bach for all I care. The list goes on.

The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think
Oh by the way, which one's Pink?

Was this an April Fools joke that was copypasted by a website a day late and so was regarded as being news? In the same vein as Metallica 'splitting'?

Yea have to say am rather disapointed with Green Day inducting them. Even Liam would have been a better fit. I expected Elton John to do it myself. But o well. STILL think it will be the fastest acceptionces speech in history. I think it will be as fast as this.

(who ever goes up on stage)

Thank you goodnight. (Done)

Sinple as that.
