Sure, I mean on the UYI albums all the songs sound like they came from the one band (Guns N Roses) except of course my world...
I dont mean "inconsistent=shit album" I mean the 14 tracks on CD sort of all sit apart from each other.

I disagree, to me cd is almost concept album like. It reminds me a lot of the wall. When roger waters wrote the wall he made up an imaginary charecter called pink. Well if you think about it pink and axl really seem to have a lot in common. The biggest differences are the wall was written in third person naritive while cd is in first person. And the other main difference is the wall is better, sorry folks but the wall is better than cd.

Guns have often extended the borders of what many would call "a band". On UYI and Appetite there are tracks (co-)written by West Arkeen, backing vocal by Shannon Hoon, Michael Monroe on tracks of UYI and TSI... consistency isn't really a GNR thing, I guess. In many other aspects as well: Axl has many different voices, GNR stands for many musical directions (like industrial and traditional rock, metal, country),... So CD wasn't a homogen record as well, though I must say I think too there's even more inconsistency in the UYI.
If an album comes out, then buy it. If there's a concert you can go to, then go to it. You're not owed another record. You're not owed any inside stories. You're not owed the band to be managed by people you approve. It's just electronically recorded vibrations that you happen to like.

Their are no weak songs on appetite.

Anything Goes is one of the bands worst songs

Well I have to disagree with both of you, I like anythjng goes, you're crazy, and thinkin bout you. As a matter of fact those three somgs alone are better than about half of cd and a third of either illusion album.

I still stand by my original statement, no filler on appetite. While those may be the weakest songs on the album, they are better than most bands best stuff.

My way your way anything goes tonight... You're fuckin crazy!!!

Honestly though I love ever single guns n roses song except my world. Thats the only one I cant stand. So when I hear someone say they dont like bad apples, dead horse, anything goes, or whatever I feel like I have to defend those songs because I freaking love them and they fuckin rock. So I guess I am bias, but thats fine with me!!!

You're entilted to you're opinion, and I dont think every song is a five star master piece. I feel this way about all of my favorite bands, I like something about every song. Led zeppelin, gnr, van halen, pink floyd, jimi hendrix, I love pretty much everything they ever did. Ya sure I get tired of listening to them, and believe me my musical tastes are about as diverse as it gets. My ideal radio station would play classic rock, 80's metal, 90's alternative rock, 70's through 90's country, 80's and 90's rap, 80's pop, 50's and 60's music, 90's pop, folk rock, old blues, jazz, classical, flaminco classical guitar, and whatever else floats my boat.

I completely disagree, it deserves its place on AFD.
