Bad show review

I thought this was at least a entertaining read, and you have to post the good with the bad.

His main bashing point is that the show was long? 

Oh and he seems to think the current band was put together last week.

To me, I kinda seems like he is saying the band is just calling the performance in. Which...makes sense. I mean Richard is in how many other bands? He was on tour with Thin Lizzy just a few months ago. So does that make him any more or less a part of these bands then GNR. DJ is a slash clone....no one can deny that. Does a great job but I mean top hat, smoke les paul... and IN GUNS N ROSES. Its a little to ironic. He goes on to say some good things about AXL and well deserved. Axl is trying to make this a band and sell its as GNR. We all no its not and its starting to become painfully obvious to people that you cant buy or fake heart. These guys have nothing invested in any of the old songs other then a fat pay check. And the new stuff, what are they doing 4 songs a night! Out of a 3 hour concert. The guys in the band are excited to say they are in GNR and I am sure they love the big gigs and the travel around the world, but I mean its starting to show that the intensity and drive that made GNR was what made the band special. The songs were and are great, any body can play them, but you cant sell it if you are just a hired guy. That's what this guy is talking about and I have to agree with him.

P.S - The line about Frank was bang on....he plays the songs very poorly. Who let him in the band in the first place.

I totally disagree. I think this is the best version of gnr. I can't wait for them to come. Ack to Orlando.  It was badass in the arena. I can only imagine the house of blues will totally kick ass.

You mean the band that was a collection of creeps and weirdos? They had one severly awful tour, and you think they were the best? I agree that buckethead is extremly talented, but the best version of gnt they were not!!! In fact I think they were the worst. They had one good performance at rock in rio, but not enough to warrant such credit.

Would you like me to list the reasons? or write an essay? it was a train wreck alright, the only good thing about it was the madagascar part.
I remember vividly trying to convince myself that it wasn't as bad as it was......but then i just hear that shakey out of breath voice 

on the plus side they have come a VERY long way since.

I'm sure most people would call it blasphemy and rape if they changed anything.

This review is just like what happened in Antwerp 2010: Everyone who went said it was great (on online forums, on the radio,...) but the reviews were all pretty bad. One reviewer actually aknowledged that by saying "it was worse, but you seemed to enjoy it"  .

I can accept bad reviews but not if they're all about "this ain't the original band, so it sucks anyways"... Especially if you go back into the history of those magazines and discover they gave Appetite a worse review back than  (which they offcourse had to ignore later on)!

The new songs played by that band sounded fantastic. The now tinkered with Chinese Democracy tracks aren't quite as .. good. The Blues and Madagascar are at the top of this list.

Robin should have played his parts the way he did at Rio on Chinese Democracy. Fucking beautiful.

I agree and disagree with that. Yes the blues and madagascar were better in rio than what ended up on the album, but thats it. Every other aong was vastly improved on the actual album, especially chinese democracy. The way the aongs were sounding, was for the most part kinda awful. They were too nin sounding and not emough gnr. I was actually quite suprised how rock n roll sounding cd ended up. I was afraid it was gonna be rob zombie, nin sounding but not as good, like orgy or powerman 5000  If axl didnt make those changes thats prolly how cd would have ended up and tham it would be a piece of dog shit!!!

I loved VMA 2002. They performed the best version of Madagascar by far.
