I saw this show less than a month ago in Santiago, Chile. Got my floor tickets for $60
I went to both dates, first one on LSD
, second one sober (well, smoked up a bit
It was FUCKING INCREDIBLE.
Not sure if Roger can still sing though, I have the feeling some of the vocals were pre-recorded, but considering this was not just a concert, but a complete show to tickle all your senses, I forgive him.
The sound was MIND BLOWING. Specially the quadraphonic, that really kicked ass! The helicopters and the sounds coming from everywhere.
It was intense. And I think there couldn't be a better time to tour with this show. Despite the whole concept is about a character, the whole metaphor of THE WALL can be applied to what the world is going through today. The lyrics can be interpreted in a different levels, a personal one and one that can be "guessed" based on the visuals of the show (Mother/Big Brother).
I thought I was going to have a heart attack when the show started, I was euphoric lol and the whole experience drove me through different emotional stages.
If you have a chance to see this, DON'T YOU FUCKING MISS IT! Get a cheaper ticket. If you're close to the stage, you'll see the band better, but you'll miss the panoramic view of the stage (which I think is way more important).
I'm seeing this again in Toronto this summer! Anyone else going?
