I saw this show less than a month ago in Santiago, Chile. Got my floor tickets for $60  I went to both dates, first one on LSD  :O , second one sober (well, smoked up a bit  )

It was FUCKING INCREDIBLE.

Not sure if Roger can still sing though, I have the feeling some of the vocals were pre-recorded, but considering this was not just a concert, but a complete show to tickle all your senses, I forgive him.

The sound was MIND BLOWING. Specially the quadraphonic, that really kicked ass! The helicopters and the sounds coming from everywhere.

It was intense. And I think there couldn't be a better time to tour with this show. Despite the whole concept is about a character, the whole metaphor of THE WALL can be applied to what the world is going through today. The lyrics can be interpreted in a different levels, a personal one and one that can be "guessed" based on the visuals of the show (Mother/Big Brother).

I thought I was going to have a heart attack when the show started, I was euphoric lol and the whole experience drove me through different emotional stages.

If you have a chance to see this, DON'T YOU FUCKING MISS IT! Get a cheaper ticket. If you're close to the stage, you'll see the band better, but you'll miss the panoramic view of the stage (which I think is way more important).

I'm seeing this again in Toronto this summer! Anyone else going?

The prerecorded stuff was in the show back in 80-81, its the "you, yes you" bits and what have you.

Well put C!

I don't know for sure... To be honest, I didn't really care then and I don't care now. But if it's really Roger's voice all through the show, I have to say I'm impressed :O

During Comfortably Numb I kept the hope of seeing Gilmour :( But hey! The band was FUCKING SOLID!

Also, hearing some of the songs with just a plain wall in front of you really gives you a sense of isolation, that was simple and very effective.

I'm suffering of withdrawal... It's kinda hard to accept that from now on, everytime I listen to The Wall it won't be the same, it will all be memories. In that way, it kinda ruined the fun for me. I love the album, but seeing the show sets a completely new (and extremely HIGH) standard for the experience of listening and understanding the album. I wish I could see the show every single time I listen to  The Wall.

Anyway, I won't talk more about it, I don't want to spoil the fun for those who haven't seen it yet.

Robbie Wyckoff (the singer who handles the Gilmour vocal parts) really does a good job, I was dreading someone mauling it...he isnt Dave Gilmour of course, but it (singers and band) sounds so fucking good.
Jon Joyce (backing vocals) toured and sang on the original wall tour and also the 1990 Berlin performance.
Snowy White played guitar on the Pink Floyd Animals tour in 1977, the original wall shows and pretty much everything Roger has done since.
Graham Broad (drums)has been around since the 87 Radio KAOS tour
John Carin (keyboards/guitar and vocals) has been a Pink Floyd alumni for over 25 years, having co wrote and arranged on the two Gilmour fronted Pink Floyd albums and live shows, Daves later solo work, and has played with Waters since 1999.
(I bought a programme)
I think this is the ultimate rendition of the wall show, when I first heard about it and heard it had been updated a bit I had a niggling feeling it was gonna be all lame and whatever...but its fucking incredible.

Amazing amazing show. I got the cheap tickets but with the wall being so big you still get a great view, he sounded great. The whole thing was great, the floating boar kicked ass.
