Abaraxl's review of Roger Waters' THE WALL live 15th Feb 2012

(Allphones Arena, Homebush-NSW Australia)

It was OK.
Nah, it was FUCKING INCREDIBLE.

I was in the third row, centre stage-and the ticket was $430 AUS (a secretary's wages for a month in Lithuania) but it was worth every cent, and more.

Roger is in his mid 60s-can he still sing like he did in the 70s?
You bet your ass he can.

The second vocalist, Robbie Wyckoff nails the Gilmour vocal parts.
The band is great, dont expect some horrible mauling.

After it was finished, and even though one of the band's family members thought it was "cheesey", Roger asked if we wanted them to play our song-and of course the crowd wasnt boog them off, so it was very brave of Roger and his band to play "Waltzing Matilda",
No idea if this was played at any other or all Australian shows, he did mention it was the last show in the country so there are no spoilers here.

The only band that can be labeled as good as Guns N' Roses and Roger is the wizard behind all of this. Nothing against David Gilmour, he's also brilliant, but Waters owns...

Glad you had a great time.
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think
Oh by the way, which one's Pink?

I got the most expensive tickets, the cheapest ones were only about $100.

I dont think its fair to compare the wall show with any other concert really.
