Look, Im all for the 2000-04 lineup (Tobias included, he co wrote some great shit) besides the AFD/before Izzy left lineups in the 80s and early 90s, I think its the best version of GNR EVA.

I dont really give a shit since Brain and then Robin left, Im just hoping the rest of the CD stuff gets released without Ron, Frank and DJ shitting all over it.

ron was put on chinese late by axl. ron was put there cause he was available for the next tour with the band. axl cares more about tours than cds. ron shouldn't be on catcher. it should be brian may. chinese is great cause of robin, bucket, and brain. what's the first thing you hear on a song? the first thing you notice? i notice the guitar. the drums. i don't notice tommy or richard first. i notice robin and bucket. robin and bucket r the heart of the chinese record. anybody could play tommy's and richard's parts in studio. but no one can play robin's and bucket's studio parts. look how dj struggles on til live. look how bumble struggles on buckethead live. robin and bucket r skilled guitarists. robin and bucket make chinese a special record

ron's late addition sucks hard. makes catcher suck hard. but chinese is still the best rock record. when i listen to the record, i hear robin and bucket. i don't hear bumble

Very true. I pretty much prefer all the demos over the final versions. Especially Cather in the Rye. Brain May owned that song.
