Slash will hit the road this spring for a headlining U.S. tour to support his upcoming sophomore solo effort.
The ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist’s touring outfit — which is now dubbed as Slash With Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators — are putting the finishing touches on the axeman’s second solo release, due May 22. While his first solo effort featured a wide array of guest vocalists including Kid Rock, M. Shadows, Ozzy Osbourne, and Chris Cornell, the new disc will feature just one — Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge.

Kennedy contributed vocals to two of the previous album’s tracks and served as Slash’s touring vocalist along with drummer Brent Fitz and bassist Todd Kearns. “It turned out to be a very cohesive collaboration,” Slash said of the group. “So after a year and a half of working with these guys on tour, I was like ‘Well if I do another record, I’ll just do it with these guys.’”

The upcoming album from Slash With Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators hits stores on May 22 and will be preceded by a U.S. tour. Fans will have a chance to experience the new tracks live when the tour kicks off May 3 in Baltimore, Maryland, the limited run will come to a close just days after the album’s release in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, Feb 17, but there is also a special fan pre-sale beginning on Wednesday, Feb 15.

Meanwhile, Slash will join Chris Cornell, Stevie Wonder and others this Saturday at the 70th birthday celebration for boxing legend Muhammad Ali at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

slash releases cd. slash tours.

axl doesn't release cd. axl tours.

axl tours. no record. axl does HOF. no record. axl tours again. no record.

slash makes sense. axl makes no sense

He's right though. Most bands only tour to promote their latest album.

Whereas we have the never ending Chinese Democracy World Tour. Promoting the album nearly a decade before release and probably continuing to promote it a decade after.

What's the rush?
It's only been, like, 3 and a half years since Chinese Democracy has been released.
We're looking at more CD touring at least until 2016, then perhaps a hiatus and a few changes in lineup.
Than another south american tour in 2017, a few lawsuits here and there, another small lineup change, at least two European and one Australian tour of CD, and perhaps, if we're optimistic, we might actually hear the new album around the year 2019.
Or at least the leaks.
GOOD.... F**KIN\\\'....NIGHT...!!!!!
