Surprised by all the negativity here...
I saw Gilby in Edinburgh last week on this tour.
Supported by BadMouth.
I also saw him back in 2006 on his last tour. That show was in Bradford.
He was great live both times. Only difference was this time the players who backed him during his set were taken from the support band as he didn't bring his own band so to speak. Still a great show.
I don't think Gilby is dwelling on anything, he just made a smart choice as to who to have to support him at the camden gig. And those players will know how to play GN'R and related material (including Gilby's own stuff).
Also why criticise the guy for sharing some video footage, if you don't liek it fair enough, but no need to start being all negative.
Question for G2R, were you the guys who backed Steven Adler in 2006 after he fired his band? If so, I was at the bradford show for that tour, and you guys were great.
Forums are the place for negativity bro. Its so these people can express themselves knowing they will probably and luckily never meet in person the people that they are ripping on, especially us GNR tributes. Does make you wonder what their doing that is so special in comparison that makes them such an awesome judge of things and so bitter. We tour the world get to play with our heroes play our favorite songs and get a load of hot woman. Why an earth does that piss people off so much???

Ah well...
For the rest of ya. We toured with Gilby cos like it or not we have a massive fanbase of GNR fans that helped bring extra people to his shows. No need to rip on Gilby for that. Adler did the same in 2006, Ron and Frank jammed with us and Axl has put me as a vip guest on the 2006 - 2010 GNR tours in the UK plus we have something coming up with Duff later this year.
Yeah "Sploit" that was us with Adler man. There's a lot of footage of us on Youtube when we toured together. Thanks for your kind comments. Btw just found this on HTGTH...
VIDEO: Gilby Clarke On Stage In London With Axl Rose ImpersonatorWith Guns N’Roses Hall Of Fame induction just around the corner, the sight of former guitarist Gilby Clarke on stage in London with a red-headed, bandana-wearing singer should have given fans plenty to be excited about.
But all was not as it seems.
The fellow in the bandana and fedora singing the Rolling Stones’ "Dead Flowers" at Camden Underworld was actually Gavin Willbourn, the singer in support band and Gunners tribute act Guns 2 Roses.
“Some people don’t like tribute acts,” Gilby told the crowd, “But I reckon they’re great. Keeping the music alive, right?”
