My most historic Gn'R moment was the first time I heared, felt and understood their music. It changed my life.

This video is the reason I started actively following the new band. I downloaded it and put it on cds and my iPod and listened to it religiously. It still sounds better than the Chinese Democracy finished version of The Blues. (Fuck Street of Dreams) The guitar and thyrthm throughout the song, synth, fuck - everything about this performance even the solo is far superior.

Yeah, that version of the song is sweet. Its so nice to hear a bass in there too.

Hard to tell... The epic start of the concert in Antwerp 2010 (with the "General"(?)-intro), very shortly after the moment they were supposed to hit the stage. I wasn't even really thinking about the concert untill it suddenly started. I didn't expect them for another hour  :smirk:.
The strong, energetic end of Rocket Queen that night impressed me very much as well.
If an album comes out, then buy it. If there's a concert you can go to, then go to it. You're not owed another record. You're not owed any inside stories. You're not owed the band to be managed by people you approve. It's just electronically recorded vibrations that you happen to like.

Indeed man. It is a totally different song to what it is now. Everyone gets a chance to flourish in The Blues. Sweet of Dreams is just... Well stripped down and over produced is all I can come up with.

hell i think any real gnr fan still calls it the blues don't they? i know i do, and that is the best version of it. i also still think of the original madagaskar as the 2002 boston version, it will always sound better to me than the studio one.
actually i would put that as a historic gnr moment for me....finding leaks for the first time. Lying in bed with my old laptop listening to twat for the first time as my jaw hit the floor at the solo. Or the first time i heard that high note in I.R.S.
It's not as if that's my Blood in the Water.. It's not as if my soul is free of despair

It seems kinda funny to me that so many of you are talking about post 2000 events, I mean thats great but Im gonna take things back a little. I have two memorable gnr moments, the first was listening to paradise city when the song was new, my parents had a trans am and I remeber jamming to that song in the summer with the top down, epic!!!! The second is when novber rain came out, I remember watching the video on mtv over and over again, cause it seemed like it was always on. I just remember thinking, these guys are cool.

This might sound weird but San Andreas had Welcome to the Jungle on it and that's how I got interested in Guns N' Roses.

Don't forget Axl as Tommy "The Nightmare" Smith in that game  :banana :banana

I'm not sure if this counts but my personal memory of GNR was after the 06 show in Ireland when me and a few of my friends got a taxi from the show to the place we were staying.

We were students at the time do weren't used to getting taxi's, mainly due to the expense. Anyway on arrival at our destination from the show one of my friend in the front sent shouted run and ran from the taxi without paying, as a pure instinct the rest of us followed so we all split up once we got out of the taxi.

I can't lie but I wasn't 100% sober at this stage do I wasn't that great at running. I ended up running a bit and hiding under a hedge thinking the taxi driver wouldn't leave his car for the sake of a €20 fare but it turns out he did. He also spotted me under the hedge and proceeded to come over and kick the shit out of me   :lol.

I laugh about it now but running without paying is not something I would ever do but it was just the situation I was placed it and I went with it after being a bit drunk. He didn't hurt me to bad, nothing some vodka after wouldn't fix but it was still unpleastant.
clean your ears...Nickelback's guitar work is awesome.
