UPDATE:

due to Iommi's cancer, Download will be Sabbath's only show and the other summer Europe dates will be replaced by a new act called Ozzy & Friends, which will feature Ozzy and Geezer with Zakk Wylde filling in for Iommi. The act will also include on/off guest performers such as Slash.

It's now basically an Ozzy show. No Ward or Iommi, Butler joins them and plays a few Sabbath songs in the middle.

It's going to fucking suck so.

The headliners are really weak now, Metallica will do the same stuff they have been doing the last 10 years. The Ozzy show will suck. The Prodigy should be banned as headliners, Machine Head should be over them or move Soundgarden to a headlining spot.

As far as I know, the show Iommi played with Geezer and Ozzy a few weeks back was a 1 off. Now it's billed as "Ozzy and friends"...He does a set with his current band, then Geezer comes out for a few Sabbath songs and then the god awful Zakk Wylde joins for more Ozzy solo stuff.

I bet a lot of people who bought tickets early based upon the "Sabbath" line up so to speak are pretty pissed now. I thought Zakk was pissed at Ozzy or should I say Sharon for dumping him?

It's probably still a sell out but the headliners suck now.

I remember back in the 90s when Ozzy was talking about making a record with Reeves Gabrels (Tin Machine, Bowie) and Brian Eno.

That would have been interesting...

I'm a huge Eno fan.He was a great artist in his own right.

 U2 made a huge mistake with moving away from him because he was a big part of what made them so successful in the 90's and now they are just shit working with the sewer suckers as W.il.iam or whatever the idiot us called.

I no he worked on the most recent record but he had much less input then on their earlier records.

 Let's not talk about his Coldplay stuff because I just can't listen to them without jumping the nearest bridge, so can't comment.
