I'll post some vids of these guys playing together as you all should be aware of Guthrie's greatness since by now everyone knows how good our boy Thal is.

I don't know about most of you, but these guys are on the top of my favorite guitarists list - add Shawn Lane (Rest in Peace!) and Mattias IA and there you go. They are close friends since the late 80's and since then they play together whenever they see each other and eventually we get some of these videos. This is one of them and this is the jam that inspired BBF to record a brilliant version of the Beatles' song Strawberry Fields Forever.
Once Govan said that It's not about the technical stuff, but how you do it and how you think before you play. That's why they love each other's playing and how they create/play these insanely beautiful yet absolutely technical pieces of music.

So no love for Guthrie n' Ron? Next time I'll make sure I'll post vids of sloppy and generic (posers) guitar players. ;)

They are technically good...I enjoy watching Guthrie, but I lever listen to him.

Saw Guthrie last december live for the second time. Needless to say that it was amazing (but I did it anyway). Also a really nice and down to earth guy, very approachable. He and Ron are (unquestionably) the guys that have it all in the biggest way possible....untouch able...

Damnit! I've never seen them live, I hate that fact. And I most likely never will because they certainly won't come to Brazil :( I'll see them only if I fly to the states (or London). As much as I like Ron in Guns he ain't doing solo tours anymore and that's a pity.

His work (solo and with The Fellowship, Asia, GPS, etc) is great, but its not your standart... chicken dinner :coffee

I haven't listened to his work with The Aristocrats though... gonna listen to it eventually.
