True, its pretty much completely opposite in terms of style to CD.

Its irrelevant though because everything Loaded has released far outdoes both Slash and Axl :troll:

Contraband is good, but it has no shelf-life.

Once you have heard it a few times, it becomes boring as fuck!
I hope, I do not wait.

Lyrics were shit and the guitar playing a bit genertic was what killed Contraband for me, but mainly the awful awful lyrics. If you got nothing good to say just mumble ffs.
clean your ears...Nickelback's guitar work is awesome.

I think if Slash was on the album, even if he played the same exact solos on the album, (though alot of them i don't think he could pull off) All the haters would love Chinese Democracy. Alot of people are complete idiots and let their opinions be formed by what other people think, predjudice, or what the media thinks. It's ridiculous.

Although CD and AFD are completely different kinds of records, I think CD is just as good, and overall is a stronger album than UYI, although if UYI was narrowed down to just one album using the best songs from the set, it'd be considered one of the greatest albums of all time.

I think DJ Ashba is probably the best of all the Slash replacements (except maybe Buckethead). I think he adds that dirty nasty rock n' roll element that made GnR such a standout band in the first place. I think he is a bit deluded in how much influence he'll have on the new record, the rest of the CD sessions needs to be released. I doubt Axl will start from scratch. Maybe there'll be a couple new Ashba tunes on the next album but i bet most likely he'll just record new guitar parts over what's already been done. I get the feeling Ashba will end up leaving the band disappointed that he's not going to have as much of a place or influence on the band as he expects. Maybe he'll have more to do with the album after the next, but that'll probably be another 5-10 years down the line. Hell the CD followup probably won't be out for another couple years at least, don't decieve yourself all you axl worshipers out there!

Ashba gives Axl nice sloppy blowjobs, his mundane, average, crappy, swaggy, faggy, shite playing will be ALL over a release.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately and in truth if slash would have played on cd, here is how I think it all would have went down. The album wouod have been released somewhere between 98-02. The fan base would have been happier because it would be more of a true guns n' roses album, but it still wouldn't have been all that successful. It prolly would have sold pretty well, bit it would have been considered a failer when compared to previous efforts, and that has nothing to do with content, just based on sales. The world was different during that time. Can you name a single band that existed before 1990 that released anything good during that time? No!!! That was the age of newmetal. A guns n' roses album wouldnt of gotten any kind of radio play by any rock stations, they were all pumping limp bizkit and papa roach during that time. So the album might have been great in terms of quality but it would have gotten lost in the shuffel much like cd did. The big difference is now gnr have gained classic rock status, which they wouldnt of had then. Basically what I'm saying is axl, slash, and duff would have put out another album but it would have failed, gnr would have broke up, axl hides in his house for ten years, and gnr dies a slow painful death. At least this way gnr has continued, maybe not how everyone wants, but at lwast their is a guns n roses. I love led zeppeiln, but it sucks because zeppelin are dead. No more music, no more shows, nothing, silence. At least I can still go and see guns n roses.

Oh and one more thing, I'm not entirely sure an axl, slash, duff guns n roses album would even of been all that good. I don't think it would have been bad, but it would be the weakest of the then albums, even weaker than lies imo. Prolly better than spaghetti incident, but thats it.  Without Izzy, I dont think classic gnr could make an amazing album. It would have been good, yes. But not great. I see fall to pieces, slither, and this I love being the strongest tracks from that album, and we got those songs anyways.

Off topic, but...........There's a user on my favourite Everton forum with the username DJ Ashba. To make matters worse, he's a bad tool. I want to abuse him so bad, but I've already been banned 3 times.  :(
I hope, I do not wait.

IMO CD would suck if Slash was on it.
