I think the high notes really hurt his voice, although..it might be bad luck..Steven Tyler is alot older and did thesame or double amount of drugs....and he is still singing great ,not the same but really good, now Led zep's vocalist woooww ver very old  and still sings great! So Im really concern about what happened to Axl.Im afraid he will not be able to sing again like he used to.I saw the band in NY in 2006 @ the Hammerstein ballroom and he sounded great!!!!I hope whatever happened can be fix with some ..therapy??

steven tyler and robert plant have differant singing styles to axl, axl gets his "chainsaw" type growl by closing up his throat and pushing alot of power out through it which can be damaging aparently, i saw him in 06 as well and he sounded great and he did in 2010 too, his voice sounds a bit better than rio again already and im sure in a few shows time he will be belting them out

Excellent tambourine work from Chris Pitman there.

As always. Are you even aware of the strenous daily arm excercises he has to go through to keep his tambourine arm so strong and flexible? DJ Ashba showed him some. $lu$h would never do it.

p.s. Yeah his voice will get stronger. But some warm up shows before RiR would have been nice so the world got to see the warmed up Axl, not the 'shit this singing thing is harder than I remember' Axl.
How about a pint of me?

Yeah, but this just shows he should've started exercising his voice a while before Rio...

i agree absoloutly and said much the same at the time, i suspect when their not on tour lawsuits take up all axl's time.

It's not really that much of a mystery as to why his voice changed.

http://youtu.be/zVRL6488Avk the other songs he sang at this place where fine...I think is also the speakers and the stupid sound they get sometimes...in general his voice has changed in the las ten years or more...but I remember some of the concerts in the past were not perfect either....because he would run all over the place..he would be agitated I think his voice is fine not perfect but good enough for the usa tour!!!    :banana :banana :banana
