I personally know a few people with £ 100 mill and upwards and my conclusion is that it is perfectly possible to be very rich and still live a happy life. And why shouldn't it? Just give it away if it bothers you. Hand it over to investors if you don't want your life to be about managing the wealth. Or spend the rest of your life managing and investing the money if that suits you.
Haha
.
Up to 11.11.1989 only the few in the government & their relatives were rich here in BG. After that the money was redistributed and a lot of people became rich overnight. My ex was a witness how some of his friends' dads, members of the right party, were handed literally sacks of money to bring home. I didn't witness that but I know these people & saw the results. I assure you it got so ugly and those people and the other newly rich fucked their lives and the lives of the whole nation so much that even more than 20 yrs later we still can't recover. I see what money can do on the TV, I've seen what it can do at work, I know personally rich people (some of them relatives) & I haven't seen one single content person.
Even if you give the money to someone to manage it, you still will think about it and how it's managed. As I said I'd give it away & won't be connected with it in any way. Contendedness is a state of mind. As destruction, it can be achieved with much less money. But unlike destruction, its achievement is much more difficult.
