Not bad at all, the main problem I see is you seem to have trouble staying in key and on pitch (ie poor control) at times but that will improve with practice. So far the best vocals I've heard on this forum...

I absolutely agree.

It does seem to me you force your voice somehow, like you're trying to emulate some other singer.

If I could suggest something, if you can find Jim Gillette's vocal power DVD it is worth getting. He teaches some cool techniques as well as some of the best "strengthening" techniques I've found. Plus there are a few decent guys on youtube if ya search around a bit

Well I'd guess from the slight nasal parts he was trying to do an Axl but it didn't sound (to me) like was overly trying to be Axl v.2.

Haha no im not trying to emulate Axl. I used to do that before, but now im doing it all with my own voice but i guess theres still some "axl" left in it :)

Patience sounded really pleasant and I respect the fact that even though you were covering Axl you made an effort to still sound like yourself   the very last part needs a little bit more of a vocalization maybe.

covering November rain is kinda too pretentious for an amateur singer, at times you nailed it and at times you screwed it  :mwa

Mr. Brownstone, same as above. I liked Patience the most

I agree, you are good, but i think Soulmonster is the best on the forum.

what about the guy who covered Lemmy?

Yeah he is good!
But its a lot easier to sing if you play your own music, then you can decide for yourself how to tune the guitar. The videos ive seen, he has just been in his lower register and thats easier to sing (in my opinion). But he is doing it good.
