Good questions were asked, bad answers were given. Nice job once again, Monster

Who gives a flying fuck what Gilby thinks?

You read my mind :mwa
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Fuck you, whore.

Johan is not nuts. At least not anymore nuts than the rest of us. He is ruled by his own psychology, which includes jealousy that he cannot sing that high.

Thanks. The answers weren't too bad, I think, he was candid and spoke about things few other ex-members do, although a bit curt in places. You can't really expect more. What I need to do is execute my plan which is to bring interviewees on a 5 day gruelling, mountain trip with me. Then I'll get properly under their skin.

Exactly. Besides he was in GN'R for 5 minutes. I never considered him as a real band member.

He was part of the band at a very exciting time and saw the cracks forming, from the inside. He might not have been a member for many years, but it was a very active period and he ended up playing 143 concerts with the band and recording an album. Not bad at all :).

By chance, how many tour dates did Gilby do compared to Buckethead? Anybody know?

Yeah, very exciting times indeed. The band was practically dead despite the activity.

Dead? You did see he played 143 concerts, that is pretty impressive for a dead band

And they recorded a high charting album of nothing but covers, the sort of album that normally doesn't chart very high :ninja:

I said practically dead meaning that at this point it was obvious that the band was going to fall apart.

And they recorded a high charting album of nothing but covers, the sort of album that normally doesn't chart very high :ninja:

The album is good for me. I do like covers. Some of them are better than the originals. And being high in the charts is not always an objective criterion of whether an album or a song is actually any good or not.

So they were in very extremely active death-throes, can we agree on that? ;)

I didn't say it was good because it charted high. I just mentioned how it charted high, I suppose I should have added that it charted high despite it being A: an album of covers and B: released in a year that was generally unfavorable to LA Metal.

The album itself does have some good moments.
