Yeah, frustration and anger and jealousy leading to insensitive jokes after a horrible death. Why else would you make cruel jokes about a kid being mauled to death? It must stem fromsomething.

Get back to work.

No, you get back to work, or are you per chance unemployed? Or are you busy planning tonight's riot?

They had a gun that failed to fire four times, it was probably a musket.

The "horatio" pun? No, I saw it. Just because I didn't comment on it nor laugh doesn't mean I didn't see it. :coffee

He was "crazed" from starving.

The reason why ice bear attacks are increasing on Svalbard is that the bears have started to wander differently than before, making them show up in unexpected places. In addition, lots of them are starving and are not as easily scared off as before.

i wouldn't make such claims until an expert has commented on it's mental state. As for the reasoning it's no different than what happens in the northernmost regions of Canada the ice melts the bear is trapped and has to find alternative food. Polar bears are not easily scared and like most bears they're fast learners.

Great Granpa Chapple probably brought it brack from the Napoleonic wars and little Horatio took it down from his library wall and took it with him

This is another of stories which pisses me off. I hate it when people try and demonise an animal for doing what comes naturally to it.

100% agree

I was kind of perplexed by the venomous comments from the brits here, too. I guess it is some class thing coming to the surface.

if you weren't born here you probably wont ever understand

Apparently a new Amy Winehouse 'Greatest Hits' collection is coming out, but the tinfoil and spoons aren't included.

This time it was me who was joking. I don't think the bear exhibited any abnormal behaviour than what you would expect from a bear with no stomach content whatsoever and with obvious signs of suffering from starvation. Such bears usually behave more daring than others and are more difficult to scare off.

The common practice here in Norway is to use dogs to scare off polar bears. Also making abrupt noises, banging on things or firing in the air is usually enough to drive away a polar bear which is not starving.

if you weren't born here you probably wont ever understand

Like bears I am a fast learner, so try me ;). Why all the contempt for individuals born into an upper class rather than a contempt for the whole class system itself?

The bear ate, him not me.

I'll laugh if I want to laugh. I've laughed at people taking the piss out of Madeleine McCann. I supose I have a natural hatred for Everton supporting toddlers, too?
Fuck that tit. Traipsing out into the wilderness poorly equipped, I'm glad the bear ate him.

There's one less Horatio in the world and that's fine by me.
So you knew Horatio personally or just assumed he was a snobbish tit?

No, you get back to work, or are you per chance unemployed? Or are you busy planning tonight's riot?

If you are gonna criticise the use of stereotypes, at least be consistent about it, you self-righteous tit.
I hope, I do not wait.

The bear ate, him not me.

So you mock and make cruel jokes out of, err, relief? :fpalm:

I'll laugh if I want to laugh. I've laughed at people taking the piss out of Madeleine McCann. I supose I have a natural hatred for Everton supporting toddlers, too?

Oh, what a rebel you are.

Fuck that tit. Traipsing out into the wilderness poorly equipped, I'm glad the bear ate him.

So now it is because he relied on organizers who didn't take enough precautions and were badly equipped that you make fun out of his demise and NOT because of his name, his school or social standing? Or is this just an addition to all the reasons why you laugh of a 17 year old kid being mauled to death? He really did nothing right, did he? Being born into the wrong class, being given the wrong name, being admitted to Eton, attending a badly organized expedition? He REALLY deserved to die and it is JUST right to ridicule him.

Nah, I think the explanation is that you are either emotionally stunted or that you think it is so "cool" to "play tough" on Internet fora. No wait, let's not be narrow minded here, it could easily be a combination of both.

There's one less Horatio in the world and that's fine by me.

Who do you think others would miss the most, a 17 year old kid who did nothing to warrant his horrible death or a 32 (?) year old kid who laughs and makes cruel jokes over sad kid's tragic death?

If you are gonna criticise the use of stereotypes, at least be consistent about it, you self-righteous tit.

So you don't like being pigeon-holed into a specific class and given stereotypical attributes? :O OH THE IRONY .

And it was an attempt at a poignant joke.

The Spaghetti Incident?

It's right because I can laugh at it you tit, and it is called free-speech.

Nah, I think the explanation is that you are either emotionally stunted or that you think it is so "cool" to "play tough" on Internet fora. No wait, let's not be narrow minded here, it could easily be a combination of both.

Couldn't give a shit, I was just asking you to be consistent and not be hypocritical. There's nothing worse than a self-righteous wanker.

I read the story.  It was not a nice thing.  Then I read the thread and trawled through the posts and only remember the post about the musket haha

Haha, so you are saying that your motive for laughing at the misfortune of a poor kid is the fact that you are allowed to do so through the freedom of speech?? That is classic . So in other words you are simply executing "free-laugh"?

Nah, I still think the explanation is that you are a combination of emotionally stunted and that you think it is "cool" to "play tough" on the Internet.

Huh? Try again.

There's nothing worse than a self-righteous wanker.

So in your eyes I am even worse that kids being born Horatio into upper class families and having the misfortune of being mauled to death by polar bears?? :O What death do you wish upon me then?

I still find it immensely funny that you are so quick to stereotype poor Horatio but as soon as I jokingly pigeon-hole you you become all pissy and whiny. And still you talk about me being hypocritical

Stop picking at random snippets, you bellend. I'm not arsed about being stereotyped, it's happened to me many times on here. i know English is not your mother-tongue, so i'll forgive you for not comprehending what i was trying to say.

Nah, I still think the explanation is that you are a combination of emotionally stunted and that you think it is "cool" to "play tough" on the Internet.

It is all true. But you just like to play with the girls. Wanna get freudian. did your mother ignore you as a child?

My family

Huh? Try again.

My bad, I only had seconds to both read and respond to the post. What I meant was: I'm not arsed who would miss me, his family wouldn't, my family would. I'm ergo not arsed he's dead.[/] I'd rather read about the millions of murders that take place around the globe, than be arsed about some toff who managed to play an important part in the food chain.

So in your eyes I am even worse that kids being born Horatio into upper class families and having the misfortune of being mauled to death by polar bears?? :O What death do you wish upon me then?

Don't put words in my mouth, I never wished death upon anybody.

Haha, so you are saying that your motive for laughing at the misfortune of a poor kid is the fact that you are allowed to do so through the freedom of speech?? That is classic . So in other words you are simply executing "free-laugh"?

Yes. Just like I laughed about Madeleine McCann and Jamie Bulger. I'm sorry, am I not politically correct enough for you? do I offend you, when I picture the little snotty-nosed cunt getting chunks torn out of him and laugh about it? Good. Do one you fuckin' faggot.

Am I glad he died? not really. Am I arsed he died? not really. Are you an overly sensitive fag who takes things too seriously? Most definitely.

I hope, I do not wait.

they'll soon acclimate to that prevention it's not a reliable way to save people from grizzlies in yellowstone let alone a better fed larger bear with a stronger killer instinct.

Like bears I am a fast learner, so try me ;). Why all the contempt for individuals born into an upper class rather than a contempt for the whole class system itself?

it's not something you can learn it's cultural if you weren't born here you won't understand the resentment of the lower classes for the upper classes.

Why not like? I've got lots more hate here lad. I'm really angry with you, I wanna continue this arguement. You tit. I hate you.

You asked earlier how I'd wish you to die? Well, i hope you get eaten by two bears whilst you are taking a shit, and then I hope some vermin eats your blood and remains.

Ain't I scary......and tough?
