The New Facebook Chat

Seriously, what the fuck is this shit that has replaced my list of online friends? I used to be able to see all of my online friends at once, now it's just this random list of people I rarely if ever chat to, and there is no way of knowing if people are online. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA RRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH HHHHHH!

Now we have this Google networking site thing, which is utter bullshit if people fall for it. I actually hate social networking so so much. I only have it because if I don't I apparently fail at life and people ignore me when they organise parties. I actually unfriended around 50 people last week, and it was the greatest feeling I've had for a long time - surely the opposite of what facerape is all about?

I never use Facebook chat. I find the thing obsolete. Whenever I'm (accidently) on it, the only people that harass me are people I haven't talked to in ages and have not wanted to talk to in ages. So, it's some kind of artificial small talk that neither of us are really into. Some people just seem to have this compulsion to chat to anyone on Chat. Fuck off, we've nothing to talk about.

To be honest, for the most part, I have a problem with all MSN/Chat clients. The idea is obviously to simulate a conversation but it feels so artificial and fake it just doesn't work for me. I prefer hearing the person's voice and usually seeing them. Even phonecalls are better, there's something so impersonal about chatting online.

If the person really needs to talk to me, they use PMs. That is a far better experience for me as all it tries to simulate is emails, which are nothing like a real conversation. Works perfectly for me.

The big problem I has with the new chat is people getting confused and sending me chat messages even though I'm offline. But people seem to have copped on so really, I no longer give a fuck
