I was speaking exclusively of artist who formed between 1980 and 1990...

right, the difference is that the older ones have more merit.

If they come back with their original singer they may as well stay dead.

Weiland is great, he just has to get a grip and focus on his career.

The older ones don't have to change their sound to compete with younger artist simply because they were/are already extremely established. The bands from the 80s got drug through the dirt far more than any other period of music and well, they had to reinvent themselves just to regain a bit of relevancy and respectability. Of course they easiest way to do that is lighten your music, update the overall sound and write songs with current radio in mind. If they didn't reinvent themselves they would be playing to three hundred person clubs every night. Just my two cents.

Weiland can be good though I don't like him solo or with VR but in STP I think he's A-ok.

well, Ive liked the rolling stones work till their very last album

Which happens to be an amazing album. Don't tell me you prefer albums such as Undercover or Dirty Work to A Bigger Bang...
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think
Oh by the way, which one's Pink?

they're quite solid, I kinda like everything... and about those albums I like some songs and I consider others just a filler.
