For some reason both Axl Rose and Ron Thal think that Muse is possibly the most interesting band nowadays... they both mentioned that when someone asked which bands are interesting these days.

Their live DVD kicks so much ass and they're right now one of my favorite live bands as well.

Axl mentioned Muse in one of those chats (or was it an interview?) he did recently... but I can't seem to find it anymore :(

Not to bum anyone out, but I have no recollection of Axl ever saying he liked Muse. Always interested in new bits of information though. Just not the usual I think I read that somewhere kind of crap.
