Liam Gallagher: "Fuck Muse's Matt Bellamy"

Liam Gallagher has confessed that Muse and their frontman Matt Bellamy frighten him.

The Beady Eye singer and former Oasis star described the 'Knights of Cydonia' band as "creepy s**t".

Gallagher complained to GQ: "Muse f**king scares me. They're like f**king creepy s**t. But people like 'em. They at least play guitars, but when I hear his voice I'm like, 'Ah, f**k him'."

Don't know about Matt, but Muse start to bore me after 15 minutes.

This is a band I've tried listening to multiple times, I have 3 of their albums and after three songs every song sounds the same. The same whining over and over. The melody of vocals gets totally boring to me.

Muse are fuckin' great and miles ahead competition, as far as the bands of our era are concerned. Matt Bellamy is obviously brilliant and, as much as I respect Liam, he's talking bullshit. Nobody likes Muse's epic lullabies, but, to hell, there is brilliant stuff in their catalog. Focus on Beady Eye, Liam.

From what I understand, if it doesn't sound like The Beatles, The Smiths, The Jam,The Stones, or Oasis; Liam and Noel think they're shit. I remember Noel saying to a journo that Jazz is complete shite and shouldn't be considered music.

I think their musical inflences stretch further than that to be honest. It's a little known fact that Noel is hugely influenced by Burt Bacharach. You can hear this influence in many of Noels simple melodies.

The Sex pistols were another big influence, and The Who. I could name plenty more.

But you are right, they can be pig-headed. Anything remotely 
approaching hard-rock/metal is generally dismissed

i dunno about that, they've also fallen out with Robbie Williams, Kings of Leon, Jay Z, Each other, Pete Doherty, Eminem, 50 cent, George Michael, Victoria Beckham, Kylie Minogue, the Backstreet Boys and Michael Hutchence of INXS.

none of whom really write songs that are hard rock or metal. They have a clear vision of what they like i can respect that.
