The thing with me, though is that I have no will power and I never actually stay away from some of the things listed :smirk:

The trick is to be persistent and follow a strict diet for the period you lose the weight you'd like to shed. Then you can work your own diet and just maintain the achieved results. Occasionally you can eat whatever you want. Carbohydrates are really the biggest culprits but same carbos, as sugar, more so in comparison to bread (wholemeal of course).

Pierre Ducan's diet works well for me. Actually I've never tried any other diet. At one stage you get a bit sick of proteins, meat in particular, but that lasts around month and a half (it depends of course how much weight you want to shed). Then you are allowed to eat more things. But you have to be healthy of course. It's not reccomended to people with heart & kidney problems in particular. You have to drink tons of water as well.
The diet lasted less than 4 months altogether and I lost around 20 kilos. In the end I stopped it before I'd planned because I kept on losing weight and it wasn't necessary. Nevertheless I still follow certain rules when eating as reccommended. Generally you should eat more proteins and cut on sugars, fruit included. Vegs are allowed.
Read a bit about it to see whether it'd work for you :thumbsup:

[Energy from food] minus [Energy spent through activity] equals [Energy surplus that will be stored as fat on your body].

So, if you eat more energy than you spend, you will gain weight. If you spend more energy than you eat, you will lose weight. Then it stands to reason that the way to lose weight is to eat less, be more in activity, or a combination of these two.

Usually people have a strong aversion to reduce the amount of food they eat or to exercise more, so they seek more advanced methods, like not changing the amount of food you eat but the sorts of food you eat (preferentially towards foods with less biologically available energy) or when you eat (i.e. to control hormones that affect fat storage) and the way they exercise (methods that will cause high metabolism 24/7), etc.

When I was at school (feels damn weird saying that now) I walked about 2 mles each day there & back, plus walking class to class, I ate shite but was really skinny. All the walking just became everyday routine.

I used to walk about two and a half miles a day. But that was when I lived in town, but now I live in the middle of nowhere now and I would be afraid to get hit by a car while walking because people can't drive

I wouldn't recommend that diet because you are way too young for diets still  :mwa If you wanna eat healthier or follow a healthy nutritional program you should consult with a nutricionist because everything has to do with your own metabolism, height, habits, inherit diseases, etc etc etc. But the best advice I can give u is drink tons and tons of water  :nod:

But anyone would understand that if you don't burn off all the energy you get in your food then you will start to balloon out. So eat less or exercise more.
