Most heartbreaking or biggest BS moments in shows/movies (spoilers may follow)

In shows or movies we often encounter moments that break our hearts. Other times there are moments that anger us, causing us to be greatly distraught  with the writing and show direction that they could dare do such a thing in the story arc . Sometimes heartbreak and annoyance happen simultaneously .

Of such moments, what are some that stand out in your mind on the tube , silver screen or in books  ? Be aware that in this thread spoilers may ensue .

Can we do books as well? 'Cell' by Stephen King goes along nicely and raises lots of questions that the reader damn well wants explained. Then the book just...ends. So fucking lazy.

Heartbreak moments:

Angel - Season 1, episode 9. Totally unexpected.
Spin City - final episode of season 4.

Bullshit moment:
The Departed of Scorsese. Amazing film, all that build, great characters...but the ending was horrible. Random shooting for the win
