Rhythm Guitar , Lead Guitar  or Bass ... which are you best at now ? Which would you like to be if you could be in a big time rock band in that spot ?

Lead guitar usually gets the glory , but I am more of a rhythm guitarist at heart .

I'd rather be in a band where rhythm and lead were shared between the guitarists, e.g. megadeth. Cause then you can do trade off solos and synchronised power slides  :rockon:

i'd be a guitarrist. perhaps lead. maybe rhythm, i really don't care as long as I get to play guitar and play a few solos i'm ok.

I could do lead and rhthm.


BUT, I'd deliberately only do bass. To preserve my own riffs. I wouldn't throw it away for the bands sake. It's easy. It's like soloing but not.

I was ripping the piss a wee bit. It always amuses me a little when people talk about rhythm and lead guitar because I can just imagine a guitar shop  with a section for 'rhythm guitars' and a section for 'lead guitars'. Its all keefs fault. Someone asked him about rhythm and lead and he basically told them to fuck off, there is no difference, because 'you don't go into a guitar shop and ask for a rhythm guitar do you?'. Or it might have been more like 'mmmghghm mgmgmgh mmmgh do ya?'
