Excuse me for being part of a small minority, but, on my mind, neither Axl nor any other artist should release all of the songs he/she has ever written. Even a musical genius like Michael Jackson left more than 200 unreleased songs behind, when he passed away. It's pretty much obvious that, even though there might be "three albums worth of songs", not all of them -if any- are decent or at least meet Axl's high standards. In addition, a riff is always far away from being a proper song. He might be waiting for the inspiration or the right time to make something good out of the material he's been left with. Or, more pessimistically, he might consider his material already outdated. In all honesty, I'd rather wait more than get to hear a CDII in the foreseeable future with songs like Scraped or Riad or songs talking about masturbation.

So you think it's smart for artists not to release all of their music.... so that some dumbass can profit from it by releasing it after they die????  :?:

That makes no sense to me.

Releasing music after Axl is dead is coming up a lot of late...Has it really reached a situation where we believe that's what it will take to hear new GNR material??

Sheeeeeeesh....!

 :giggle:

You suuuuuuuuure take all of this seriously for a grown ass man, son.

On topic.. I don't want Axl to die of course, but it would be cool if they released and raped his vaults if it ever happened. I think even then he'd find some way to sue.

I was actually pointing out that artists who don't release all of their music are doing it because they don't think these songs should see the light of the day. As a result, they might left unreleased material behind them, like MJ did. I'm not saying they should release their unreleased material after their death. I believe they should respect their will. Hope this clears it out for you. :D

Isn't it only natural not to come up with a decent song every time you get to write something new? That's my point; I might have three albums worth of songs, but I bet not all of them are good enough to see the light of the day -or at least not as good as Axl thinks they should be.
