In 2004 I was doing exams at school and was about 16, so I could not have really gone to see him :shy:
I think it is high time for a bit of class around here, don't you?

Tommy Stinson is sharing some news via his website.
Includes this (which indicates there's no plan for GN'R recording something while there...)

I’m currently gearing up to spend the month of November in Las Vegas playing a few Guns N Roses shows every week, which should be a real blast. I’ve been working on new material lately and will have plenty of time while I’m out there to keep working.

Edit:
This should be mentioned too:

This Saturday I’ll be performing in NYC with Kris Perry’s Machines for the closing of the Industrial Evolution exhibition at the Family Business Gallery. If you haven’t checked this out yet, I highly suggest it, as there is nothing like it in the world!

Tommy's update:
Quote
2012 was a really busy year for all of us in the GNR camp, myself included. We went all over the world and back, and met a bunch of awesome new people out there along the way. We had some great shows – and even had some dancers and a flying piano in the mix for a bit. I really didn’t see that last part coming, but it was some good shit for sure.

Anyways, there is plenty to talk about.  In my very minimal down time between tours, I managed to record, produce, and release an 7″ vinyl E.P. on my label (Done To Death Music) for a band called Pocatello. Their completely unique sound just captivated me from the first moment I ever saw them play. This 7” is full of my favorite things in music – great songs, great lyrics, and great harmonies.

On January 27 I’ll be taking part in a really cool show for a really great cause at Club Helsinki in my adopted hometown of Hudson, NY. Melissa Auf der Maur (some of you may know as the former bassist of Hole and Smashing Pumpkins, I know her as my friend down the street) has set up a pretty incredible night of music called Home Bass featuring my neighbor Meshell Ndegeocello, Melora Craeger from Rasputina and myself. It’ll be a cabaret-style roundtable of music, all to benefit Columbia County Habitat, which is the local Habitat For Humanity branch. They are building revolutionary homes for low-income folks here in Hudson that will reduce their owners’ energy consumption and costs by 90%. It’s the first affordable housing to be built in New York State according to Passive House design and construction standards. It’s a great cause with great music, and I hope you can make it out.  There’s more info at Helsinki’s website – HelsinkiHudson.com.

Other than all that, I’m stoked to get back into songwriting mode. I have a couple of months to get busy and finish up a few things I’ve started.  Can’t wait for you all to hear em’.  Until then, be good, and we’ll see ya soon!!

Tommy's website is still offline (new website "coming this week"), but he finally updated his FB, sharing a video of his new band. He added:

Quote
Stay tuned for many more updates as time goes on…I’ve got so much good stuff up my sleeves that it’s starting to give me rock itch.

I love my band because Luther Dickinson is playing guitar, Frank Ferrer is playing drums, Cat Popper is the bassist and Tony Kieraldo slays the keys.

JULY

 24 - Philly - Milkboy
25 - Newport, RI - Newport Folk Festival
26 - New Haven, CT - Café Nine
