I'm looking forward to it. Watched the entire first season monday after monday, but I was massively disappointed when two of my three favourite characters were eliminated. At least Tyrion Lannister is still there.

Well that was from Martin himself so I assume you're right

yeah that's really the only way to do the third season because after COK the books get HUGE! I'm still in the first chapters of A Dance With Dragons  :fpalm: but as a fangirl of the series I want one whole season with 20+ episodes  :D because the show is so addicting!

I am sadly just 300 pages into A Storm of Swords 1: Steel and Snow and then have Blood and Gold to read after it.

I think it will always be 10 episode series as the production quality would suffer if the season were to be extended. I know many US shows have long 20+ episode long seasons but in the UK we generally have 6 episodes per series so I'm perfectly content with 10 a season as it gives them the time to produce the show in the highest quality
