Who Should Be Considered A Guitar Hero
« on: April 08, 2011, 11:08:23 AM »
Not really who's underrated...more or less...who is talented and shows it but has yet to be recognized as a actual "guitar god". By guitar god I mean your Eddie Van Halens, Yngwie J. Malmsteens, Jimi Hendrix's etc.

This is simply a revenge mission by the US on Libya.  This will teach them a lesson for attacking Doc Emmett Brown in Back to the Future....... Damn Libyans

Jimi Hendrix, by far. He is one of my biggest influences. Next Up is Eddie Van hlaen.

For me THE three bonafide contemporary Guitar Gods are:

1.  Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal
2.  Guthrie Govan
3.  Mattias "IA" Eklundh

All of the above show epic amounts of skill, depth, taste, originality, innovation and versatility in both relevant dimensions; chops and composition. They leave the "competition" far behind on all levels of the game. The absence of mainstream recognition is only due to, the progressively less (solo) guitar driven, "Zeitgeist" in music.

Johnny Marr...although he actually may already be considered a guitar god in some circles, I don't think he gets the right props from rock n roll guys.
How about a pint of me?

I don't know. Would this be one of those things where I pick my favorite guitar player and say they're one of the best? :ninja:

Fuck you, whore.

Johan is not nuts. At least not anymore nuts than the rest of us. He is ruled by his own psychology, which includes jealousy that he cannot sing that high.

Ron Thal & Guthrie Govan. On a second note, Buckethead n' Mattias IA Eklundh.
