I was trying to avoid letting them get anywhere near me as one hit tended to kill me, and my Unrelenting Force shout was only at level 1 when I was battling them which didn't seem to do anything to them. But a good few dozen arrows seemed to do the trick.

The vast content and longevity of the Elder Scrolls games are what makes me love them so much if I'm honest

ahh that makes sense i guess, still i've managed to kill half of them by this point.

Agreed the fact it doesn't really end is awesome.
Apparently a new Amy Winehouse 'Greatest Hits' collection is coming out, but the tinfoil and spoons aren't included.

Playing the game a lot more stealthy than I did in Morrowind and Oblivion, a lot of sneaking around, poisoning weapons and using the bow and arrow. So much so that my sneak skill is now higher than my one handed, two handed or block... and I'm a Nord... Odd, but the bows seem to really work well this time round.

my nord ran into many difficulties...i did the dark brotherhood quests and couldn't buy the house in Windhelm and as a result couldn't become the thane. Equally Eola in Markarth never spawned so no cannibal quest line. Brynjolf wouldn't leave Riften market place so no thieves guild. Farkas in the companions guild would follow me around the city continuously starting dialogue. The Markarth quest line about the foresworn was bugged after the first one was finished for me and i couldn't pick up the second.

restarted with a dark elf...been going smooth mostly although Eola is still missing for some reason, Xbox need to sort it out.

one small issue i have is the companion NPC's they seem to get lost when you need them and when you don't they stand in the way, blocking doorways, hallways and generally trying to stand exactly where you stand.

Smack them teh fuck out of the way with a warhammer
sladdi pls

Haven't encountered any of these issues on my Xbox.

Argonian Mage, first time as a mage and loving it. The new combat seems to work a bit more fluent and so far I'm pretty happy with all the changes they've made since Oblivion. Game is a fucking beast!

You're all pussies. Dual wield swords + Summons and shouts is the correct way to play Skyrim

I just flew on the dragons back to Alduin's little island or whatever, I seem to get trashed by the first dragon I encounter every time though, my character can't take a hit

I've been avoiding the Main Quest to be honest. Been focusing on the Thieves Guild missions and just general exploration still.

Does anyone know if the game continues as normal after the main quest? Because I'm itching for the cool shouts that comes from finishing the main quest (summon dragon/guardian)

According to the official game guide most of the shouts you attain through the main quest are gotten in the first section of main quest missions (the main quest is broken into 3 different sections), but other shouts can be learn by discovering them through exploring the map.

In terms of changing the rest of the game, no not really. There is the chance that through doing the main quest you may kill someone during a mission which will mean another mission can't be completed by this is very unlikely. No character you kill which relates to the main quest will play a major role in any other faction/ side quest.

Secondly, if I do the Battle for Whiterun quest, will NPCs in whiterun be killed? I have a house and a family there :(

no they won't be killed the doors to all the houses become locked and all the NPC's are hiding inside. But the place does get trashed, the apprentice house gets completely destroyed as do a couple other buildings i think, and the weird fency thing on the island gets broken too but otherwise the city remains more or less the same.

Apparently a new Amy Winehouse 'Greatest Hits' collection is coming out, but the tinfoil and spoons aren't included.
