Bought the single and instrumental (have to get the instrumental to hear Ron's musical prowess in its fullest form). A lot heavier than “Bernadette”. Haunting/almost grunge like vocals are complimented by a kick ass bass sound. Well worth buying.

Man, this is ridiculously beautiful. I can't stop listening to it. When even Mandy says that a Beatles cover is awesome that means something's right. The bass, the vocals, the guitars, the drums... everything sounds perfect. This reminded me of something cool... when Jimi recorded All Along the Watchtower, he made the song even better than Bob's version, so when Jimi died Bob played the song closer to Jimi's version, and he even said that when he plays the song, he feels like paying a tribute to Jimi. Here's the quote...
"It overwhelmed me, really. He had such talent, he could find things inside a song and vigorously develop them. He found things that other people wouldn't think of finding in there. He probably improved upon it by the spaces he was using. I took license with the song from his version, actually, and continue to do it to this day." In the booklet accompanying his Biograph album, Dylan said: "I liked Jimi Hendrix's record of this and ever since he died I've been doing it that way... Strange how when I sing it, I always feel it's a tribute to him in some kind of way."
The thing is that Jimi had the ability (or should I say talent?) to make songs sound even better than the original. This is an ability that Ronald shares with him, and we've seen it a few times - For example "Can't take my eyes off of you", "Bernadette", and now this one.
"Every story has an ending
Even though words never die
Every curse is a blessing
Like a shadow in the light"
