that's actually a pretty interesting topic.
The UK is hated all over Europe.
* The Dutch could do with showing more respect but the odds aren't high for that happening.
Explain for what reason we Dutch should show more respect for the English? In what era do you live?
I remember the many unemployed young men whom arrived
(and still live here) very well looking for work in the 80's and the early 90's. They'd never left and
some never made much effort to speak our language at least a bit properly.
For some reason the
some English don't consider themselves Europeans. But when it it suits
some of them then they have the right to work free all over Europe since they are Europeans. Odd......but it's not really consequent right? Not that I mind they came to work here since it's their right to do so. And actually I'm quite fond of a few of them. Also I like the UK a lot, one of the best places I enjoy for holidays. Further I don't know a soul who hate the English in general. Yes, those damned hooligans but whom doesn't? I've a good female friend who's from Cornwall; she doesn't hate the English either. Never been treated, being a Dutch, in your country like I needed to show a more respect for anything than the usual normal behaviour? Funny, before I entered this forum I've always found the English so great....?? Maybe it's you or group of people that think like that? I find this all medieval and hatred thinking. In the end we're all stuck with one another on this globe.
(This is edited due to someone's reply. I should not reply to such posts in a break. My stupid mistake. I quit this. I don't mind either what the replier said or anyone else for that matter. A fascist? So be it then.)
