But batman will become a completely different person. The whole story is about how Bruce Wayne's internal struggles as Batman, not some random fucking nobody. That's the reason why the whole Knightfall arc ended with Bruce Wayne becoming Batman, and that's the reason why the whole "Bruce Wayne dies at the end of Final Crises" sucked

Agreed. Another person taking over the mantel of Batman would suck, but Nolan isn't retarded and has stuck true to what the Batman fans have wanted regarding the characters. I very much doubt that a different person would become Batman. That would be stupid. Plus, if that was to happen (I'm humouring you all here as any right minded person will know it won't happen) the character who would take over from Bruce would have been introduced long before Nolan's final instalment.

I'd like this to be the end so that this shit ends on a high note but Mike Caine and Gary Oldman both hinted their might be more with different actors and Chris Nolan stepping down to executive producer or something. I hope that really doesn't happen though...

I dunno about that. There will be more Batman movies at some point in time, you can be assured of that, but for Nolan to be involved in any form? I dunno, I would see Nolan wanting to finish the movie, make it as epic as The Dark Knight was, tie up the story and be done with it

Well, we shall see. I am not saying I definately think it will happen, but it really wouldn't surprise me. I just hope Bane is as good as I want him to be :banana

thats what Oldman said. The fact that he mentions Nolan might step down to "production" echoes how a Warner Bros. exec said a few months ago that Chris Nolan might executive produce future Batman films instead of directing them. Mike Caine also said that just because Chris Nolan is done as director doesn't mean he's done as Alfred. And Gordon-Levitt hinted his character is important so its sounds like he's the next Batman.

Never been a fan of Batman. I watched TDK but paid little attention to it. However, whilst looking after my nephew recently, I watched Batman Begins and I must say, it was decent. Think I'll give Nolan's franchise a fair chance.
I hope, I do not wait.

Judging by the posters, I feel like Nolan is making it seem too obvious that he is going to kill Batman...which means that  he is isnt actually going to kill Batman...

Should be a few leaked prologue videos tomorrow (which I shall be avoiding).

There's already been a leak of the prologue audio which I've heard snippets of. Suffice to say Bane sounds unique but (IMO) in a good way

Just watched the 6 minute prologue in fairly good quality considering it's a bootleg leak. It also came with a transcript. I gotta say, this is one hell of a re-imagining of Bane, I love it! I may be a bit hasty to say but Ledger's Joker may not end up as the stand alone villain that jumps to people's minds when they think about Nolan's trilogy after this. His look, voice and demeanour really do stand out.

I'm ridiculously excited for this movie
