If this movie is anything like the comic's titled Knightfall, Bane will break Batman's back and 8 years later Batman will return.  It's a strech but who knows.

I'll be displeased if Batman "retires" for 8 years. It's feasible, sure, but goes against the ending of TDK.

I'd prefer if Bane finally pounces on a world weary, beat down Batman who's been in the business for a decade, then forcing him to reconsider his role. I think the 8 year gap could make sense in this context too.

Yea, read that prologue description when it first hit the net... like a week ago :shy:

Sounds rad, though I would have preferred a jail break scene. It does seem to fit the film based on the rumours of Bane's involvement with the LOS though :ninja:
