I am a huge fan of The Seahorses, too!

gotta love John Squire

Absolutely. I've even grown to like The Stone Roses....a band I hated for years.
I hope, I do not wait.

I like simple things... maybe i should think it for longer but my first responses are:

#1 - Slash's cover of Imagine
#2 - Slash's solo in 14 years
#3 - Joe Perry's solo in What it takes
#4 - Joe Perry's solo in Crazy
#5 - Ron Wood's solo in Out of tears (it might last 2 seconds, but how much i love those 2 seconds  :tear: )

is that too girlish ?  :paranoid:

she's such a bore.

trivium's the rising solo is pretty cool, the rest of the song is kinda lame and generic but the solo is pretty fucking cool

the guitar tone on Nightwishes Nemo solo is really cool but sadly they never gave the guy a proper solo spot to work with it it's a piss weak solo with maybe 8 notes...sounds fucking badass but it's over too quickly

freebird is another one i really like

Sentenced Brief Is The Light solo slays

Pantera's domination is simple but very effective.

IRS by GnR is probably the best solo i've heard in ages the rest of the song is alright but the solo and the note Axl hits as it starts kicks ass.

As much as i don't respect his playing (on average) i really like Tom Morello's weird sound solos

anything done by Janne from Children Of Bodom (he plays keyboards) pretty much rapes every other keyboardist i can think of.

Iron Maiden's "the Legacy" from a matter of life and death was pretty fucking cool i tend to get that one stuck in my head quite often and if it's not that solo then it's "can i play with madness" or last but probably my favourite of maiden's is "sign of the cross"

i'm missing hundreds
Apparently a new Amy Winehouse 'Greatest Hits' collection is coming out, but the tinfoil and spoons aren't included.

The Spaghetti Incident?

I can't even think of a top 5, there's too many iconic solos to choose from. I'm not much a fan of throw away solos, they're good, but give me an epic solo any day.

Sure it would comprise of a Gilmour/Slash/Bucket solo but I dunno..

I was thinking what my favorite solos would be and it hit me when i read this post.

I guess I only have 2 favorite solos of all time: Brian May's ukulele banjo solo in "Good Company" and his jazz band guitar solo in the same song.
