You know Nazi Germany filtered any and all information the public was given, too. In fact most countries do this in war time to show their side in a positive light, I'm afraid this is the wrong forum to be on if you want things like this censored.
The Australian government promoted the fight against the Nazi's as a big adventure or a holiday that they would look back on and sigh with nostalgic glee, in the end they were sheep lead to the slaughter, they fought fucking valiantly but ultimately they were sent to die on a suicide mission.
