The list reads more like who is popular right now. And certainly, at least within mtv rotation or even VH1 rotation, they are playing a lot of rap and hip-hop. But greatest of all time? Not hardly. If you want to go by album sales, you would, by shear numbers have to rank GnR near the top. Appetite for Destruction was the biggest grossing rock debut album. I'm not sure another album reached that. If it did, that would, at worst place them #2 or #3, not way down the list. So, ergo, the list is political and has no real weight. Methinks the people at VH1 have their noses up their asses because they like the smell.
