For all the people saying "I didn't know Steve was this cocky/arrogant etc" I've read tons interviews (and a few books) that mention that in his time in GnR he was a complete dick to everyone, especially Axl, some go as far as to say he was just completely mean spirited. They just put up with him as long as they could. If that is true then I don't blame them for firing him when they did
As a (former) drummer though...Steven's stuff is fun to play because you can sit in there, get in a simple rhythm and groove and its just fun as hell playing his stuff. Matt's stuff is fun too in that it has a bit of rhythm but its really just hard hitting stuff, you can abuse your drums
