A little bit more in-depth presentation of what is found on AFD. The picture below shows the main page with the different discussion sections taking up most of the space. Some of these sections are not shown to guests or ordinary members. On top we have the typical navigation bar. On the right are our current plugins, including drop-down menus giving access directly to our comprehensive databases, embedded tweets from current and former GN'R members, embedded GN'R news from around the globe and tweets mentioning GN'R or it's members. In addition we have a calendar (not displayed in this picture) and a chatbox (also not displayed in this picture).



This screenshot shows one of our threads. Media can be embedded directly in the posts, as shown for Youtube videos here. The rank image and achievement system is shown in the posters' profiles (to the right of posts). The ranks changes automatically as members' post counts increases. The top of the plugin calendar is visible.



Another thread showing how HTML scripting has been embedded in a post to allow quizzes. This screenshot also shows the content of one of the pull-down menus. The forum also includes a full "friend & foe" feature, PM system and image database.

Yeah, this was actually pasted from mygnr :). I haven't found any suitable place to promote my own forum on the other fora, though. And I don't know if I want the guys from GNRinternational or gunsnfnroses, either ;). I would like to get some people from CD, gnrevolution and even htgth, though, but they don't allow people plugging other fora, I believe ;).

ADF is also often first to break news, like Tommy's recent comment on gigs after RIR and working on the new record next year and the brilliant interview with Duff where he talks about old GN'R songs. I haven't seen any of this mentioned anywhere else yet.

I have added a translation feature. People who do not understand English may easily have the forum translated into some of the other most commonly used languages. I believe this will be welcomed by people who want to keep abreast on news. It's nifty! I just translated the whole thing into Chinese, it even translates the twitters and RSS news.
